Elide — Founder & CEO

2023 — Present

I established Elide, hired the team, launched the product, and led fundraising, securing backing through Insight Venture Partners’ Scout Seed program. I built the polyglot runtime, compiler, and toolchain with Rust and GraalVM Native Image. My work spans native networking, concurrent builds, dependency lockfiles, OpenTelemetry, execution controls, MCP tools, and streaming inference through llama.cpp. I engaged Wilson Sonsini as counsel and Java leaders including James Gosling and Sharat Chander. Elide’s advisers included Sam Lambert, Vic Gundotra, Eric Sedlar, and Roger Bamford. I built Elide’s integrated UniFi infrastructure: 802.1X authentication, Wi-Fi and wired networking, VPN, multi-WAN connectivity, VLAN isolation, and IDS/IPS, alongside cameras, access control, digital signage, and audio. The internal IT environment also included Cloudflare, Google Cloud, and a 10 Gbps symmetric fiber uplink. I built Elide’s podcast studio around a full TV-quality Blackmagic video production setup, supporting real-time video delivery at up to 4K to multiple upstream destinations, including YouTube. I am qualified in Final Cut. Elide’s documentation and technical architecture deep dives are work I’m especially proud of; they serve as references for both the engineering and its explanation.
